Red Lantern

I've ordered from this restaurant a few times in the past and not had any trouble, but this evening I experienced the absolute worst in customer service. My mother and I placed our order online and she received a confirmation email and everything. Fast forward an hour and a half, and no food has arrived.My mother called the number in the confirmation email she received, and was told that they never received our order--and was laughed at. As it apparently turns out, there are two systems in place for ordering on the website--and only one of them works. If you're replacing an ordering system, why would you keep the other one active? The woman on the phone laughed at my mom's complaints and spoke in the most condescending tone I've heard from a customer-facing employee in a long time. How is it funny when a customer who has given you over $100 in business in the past is now appalled at your service and won't have anything to do with you anymore? What is funny about a website that not only has an apparently non-functional ordering system in place, but also leads your customers to believe that they have successfully placed an order via confirmation email, and then there's no follow up?I am utterly appalled at the level of service we received this evening. I will be seeking out Red Lantern's web presence to make sure that everyone who orders knows what they're getting into.
